to be fair a fiber optic connection will always be faster and have lower latency. Starlink will be great for Africa

i signed up for it, not in that small of a city, but my internet at best is 8megabytes down and 2-3 for upload. i'm not in their service area yet and they didn't mention that anywhere till after i paid for the down payment. I might get it sometime this year, but we'll see. From what i've read though the speeds are decent 100mb/s atm for down, but its supposed to increase in the next year or so to 300.
