Thalidomide was an isotope/isomer fuck up that should never have happened. It's literally the textbook example used in college chemistry and is generally discussed during orientation training at most major biotech companies. Toxic could be used for either poison or venom, the differentiation is in the administration of the toxin. I.E., ingested, vs injected, not the toxin itself.
