What is that a picture of?

Space X cockpit.

Edit: Its the space shuttle.

That's not a SpaceX cockpit.

You're right, it was the cockpit of the Endeavour. When I checked to see what it was from tt appeared on an article about the Dragon cockpit but I didn't read the subtext.

I checked to make sure which one, that is the Falcon 9.

Falcon 9 is a booster, not a manned spacecraft or capsule.

Space shuttle?

I think so. A neat piece of technology, but way more expensive than it needed to be.

Falcon 9 Cockpit (SpaceX)

Edit: Had to check again Turns out it is the Space Shuttle Endeavour but it appeared on an article about a Falcon 9 launch if I had read the subtitle of the picture I would have seen this.

Battlestar Obamica.

On a quest for galactic equity.

I was in a cockpit of an airliner during couple of flights. My impression was that it's not too difficult to land an aircraft, and I could probably do it if someone instructed me over the phone.

I've flown a cesna. Its a very simple craft in comparison. Take off is easy, but landing is a lot harder. Its not just controlling the craft, you also have to consider all the outside factors. Wind speed and direction, convective heat, or sink from the surrounding area for example. A runway in the summer is hot and will push you up as you are coming down. Going over a pond will have the opposite effect. And you have to be constantly aware of how you are tilted, speed, keeping level, and so on. There is a lot more to it than just pushing buttons.

This doesn't look like any cockpit I've seen. It's far too bulky and unnecessarily complex.
