I don't quite understand what is going on, but it doesn't sound like a "time machine" - it sounds like a process to reform particles into a previous known configuration.

Seems like every pool player "goes back in time" when they re-rack the balls, no?

Having to 'move forward in time' to 'go back in time' makes no sense.

There are two questions here: 1), did the machine require the expected amount of energy to reverse it's calculates. And 2), why is the same paragraph copied in the article twice????
