They never got around the Van Allen belts. It was too difficult to do it by 1969 but the public had been hyped up so much and our cold war rep was on the line so NASA had to fake it to make it.

Jesus wept can't you bunch of flat earthers just fuck off to Reddit? I'm so sick of your mental illness being inflicted on the Right Wing, you make us all look like morons to the normies.

We have important White Nationalism shit to do, and you bunch of cranks keep fucking it up for us with your swivel eyed ranting.

Get the fuck off of Youtube and go read some physics books written by people with more than a double digit IQ, you are all dumber than niggers and we don't want you here.

:/

Not a flat earther, flat earth defies provable laws of physics. But the idea that our government was dishonest enough to lie to us and tell us we left earth orbit to safe face because they were unable to actually do it does not defy any laws of science or nature. If anything, it's completely in line with the government's behavior.

conspiracy theories all fail on the question "why would anyone bother?" and also on the "is it likely that the 100,000 other people involved would ALL decide to keep quiet about it for 60 years?"

and considering that we are now talking about sending people to Mars, then the rest of the world has moved on from this Nixon era bullshit

If you're the head of NASA and you've been given billions of dollars to take us to the moon by the end of the 60s as a show of strength during the cold war, and it gets to be the late 60s and you are still pretty far short of being able to go to the moon, and maybe you have some accidents while testing equipment like the one that killed a few astronauts in 1967, but the public is still expecting you to deliver on the promise of going to the moon even though it's unrealistic at current levels of tech, that's a good enough reason to bother. People lie to save face all the time.
