I think this idea is being promoted in order to rationalize spending trillions of dollars on making LHC bigger. LHC was promoted previously as a way to discover Higgs boson. Noone pushed back. Now this idea comes along.

No. This is a misunderstood part of the real system which is the electric universe theory.

The electric universe theory sounds more plausible to me but I am merely a layman. I'll entertain other theories.
