It's because modern humans, and early humans have roughly 75k years of gap. Within that time period, humans migrated to many different continents. If we had maintained more gap, then Africans, and Europeans would have evolved to be different species. Currently, you can't connect with many tribes in Amazon rainforest, and North Sentinel Island, because diseases would kill them. If they stayed isolated many years like that, they will evolve to different species.
