Scientism, on the other hand, is a disparaging term for the belief of scientific positivism, the idea that science is the only viable epistemological system, which these people clearly do not believe, given that they reject the method and it's results at every turn, merely acting the part of "fucking loving science". Its like calling a satanist a christian because they pretend to worship their own symbolic interpretation of a figure from the christian religion, or calling the examination of skull capacity for brain size/structure doing phrenology because they both involve skulls, or calling an astrologer an astronomer because they both look at stars, or calling a national socialist a marxist because they both believe in a state that concerns itself with social engineering.
