More mass doesn't have more gravity at all. More density causes this phenomenon.

density is just how much mass fits into a given amount of room.
the definition of what people call "density" is literally a function of mass.
mathematically it is represented: Density = Mass/Volume.
so you're kind of saying the same thing.
