I'd guess that's a few steps away: male cells have one X chromosome + one Y; female cells have two X chromosomes. I assume they used female cells.

As I said, I'm a biology illiterate. Pheeew, good to know. But while we're restricted by nature's laws, we have 3+ billions of years of expertise in what life is supposed to be. We fear for the future of humanity, but at least for now reproduction (and the consequent mutations and selections) are governed by nature.
