Yeah, totally!
I mean, you can totally feel if someone steps aboard: the whole boat moves. I felt that! I didn't have my pistol with me that time, so I grabbed my big divers knife and rushed to the companionway and up into the cockpit. Nothing, peaceful, nobody around.
Some dick had thrown a big wake way far away and it somehow moved the boat exactly the way it moves when someone steps aboard. Or it was a ghost. Idunno. Took me ages to get back to sleep that time.
divers knife. I have 3. One i got as a kid, the other 2 (larger), one was more of a tool. i inherited from dad (certified diver) after he died (unexpectedly at 63 from his FIRST colonoscopy). Poke a hole in his colon. Leaked feces into his abdomen for a couple weeks, till get contracted septicemia.
I hear creaks like when weight is shifted. You can feel to boat move? I can't.
ghosts. I've considered that. but mainly suspect my own brain. I FOUND that i "heard" the toilet running when it wasn't.
Whoah, that's fucked about your dad. Hope the family got a huge malpractice suit payout.
Nope. Probably COULD have gotten some kind of settlement (I was executor) BUT i was already being sued for $10's of millions of dollars over my patents (3) at the time, by former employer. I thought about it, but ultimately let it slide. THEY DID claim he had "diverticulitis" (weak spot in his colon, a KNOWN risk) beforehand, i would've HAD to investigate (using courts) FURTHER with MUCH effort on my part. But they ALSO, REMOVED his colon (claimed cancerous)...NO EVIDENCE soon after he checked in with the septicemia (and died 3 months later).
