That is a KEY part of intelligence that MOST people alive today (intractable problems) have NO CLUE the concept even exists (everything HAS an ANSWER a CORRECT answer). If you add up EVERYTHING mankind KNOWS, it doesn't come to ONE MILLIONTH on ONE percent of what there is LEFT to know, and if you DO NOT know EVERTYHING, you CANNOT know ANYTYING really (take it ALL into account) and it's STILL (probably) a SUBJECTIVE (taste) issue. What do you want? What do you need? I don't KNOW. Once you get there in thinking, your "engines" start to FAIL (no point, even though survival STILL looks attractive). To what END? I'm clueless.
Sailing! (good weather to ya BTW). SEEMED attractive at one point, then LOST it's luster, BUT under different ("right") circumstances, I imagine it would REAPPEAR on MY radar screen as a "best thing I can think of" option.
Oh (from earlier). Didn't mean to mash up heaving to with bare poles. two different heavy weather strategies. Typiing too fast ( another problem I have).
I'm just glad we managed to have a good [if slightly odd] conversation what with how drunk I was getting. Sheesh, I knew I should have stopped after those first six beers...
Were you on board (mentioned earlier?) at the time? How does sleeping at sea affect your dreams?
I think I'll name my yacht Titanic. Keep the loonies away.
Yeah, i was freezing my nuts off, but you know how it is when drunk; you hardly notice that much.
I find the gentle movement of the boat extremely relaxing, but weird noises always wake me up a bunch of times through the night, generally. Depending on where we are, of course.
