France already has something like this. A sparkling wine produced in the Champagne Valley in France is the only sparkling wine allowed to be called "Champagne" legally in French law. Same with Bourbon in the USA as Bourbon is whiskey made in Bourbon County Kentucky. There are lots of laws like this all over the world, but this Russian law is backwards to the French law in that Champagne from the Champagne Valley cannot be called Champagne in Russia since it is foreign. Strange use of the law, but fuck the frogs and their bubbly grape juice.
