There's nothing wrong with Chinese traditional culture, but there's nothing magical about it, either. The Orientals tend to fuss over little things, such as raking gravel, feeding goldfish, tending stunted trees, and so on. They can have their hobbies, but they don't really amount to much when you think about them. They aren't creating anything, or building anything. You'll never get to the moon arranging flowers. The things of the East are not made for us. They are made for Orientals. We are men of the West, and it is Western things that are made for us. Building skyscrapers, dams, roads, power plants, cities, rockets. If the Japs want to spend all day folding paper, they are welcome to it. But Westerners can see that it is a useless waste of time.
