Wrong. Gnosticism began well after 100 AD making it a revisionist form of Christianity whereas Yahweh the evil Jew God was already wrecking havoc on Earth well before he impregnated Mary. This is the Father of the demigod Jesus that Christians worship. Period. Anything else is revisionism.
Gnosticism is a catch all term for most Occult religions. Gnosticism derives it's dogma from Platonism. Plato was a student of the Mystery Schools which derive their doctrine from deep in antiquity said to be thousands of years earlier. Ultimately Hinduism is the source of Gnostic beliefs which is a least seven thousands of years old.
Jesus himself was a Gnostic Essene from Nazareth. The Essenes were a Gnostic carpenter cult (builder). That is why Jesus was said to be a carpenter. He is also the "fisher of men" a Gnostic term for the age of Pisces.
You may be thinking of the Ophites but they actually go back a further 500 years before Christ and they adopted Christianity later. The cults of Dionysus, Apollonius of Tyre, Demeter, Baal, Bacchus, Adonai, Nimrod, various Serpent Cults ,etc. all go back thousands of years earlier and are all Gnostic religions since they have the same set of Platonic beliefs. You have no idea what you are talking about.

That’s just plain wrong. You either made that up or are engaging in revisionism to quell your cognitive dissonance. Gnosticism arose around 100 AD. It is specific to Christianity and has nothing to do with Hindu revisionism.
