In general, the idea here is that men would receive gifts from women on Valentine’s Day as their way of showing romantic interest or just friendly appreciation. Men, on the other hand, would not be expected to give gifts to women until a month later, in March. I think this is an excellent idea, as it would redefine how Valentine’s Day is perceived in the West.
