Before all could access a BBS, there would be groups of people who would chip in weekly to rent a PC game, buy blank disks, copy the game and photocopy the manual or open up cardboard wheels and copy the components so that they could be recreated and a wheel was provided for each group member. Everyone paid something like $10 and all got copies of a game and manual each week.
