I was a Sega Master System guy, but loved Double Dragon on the NES - good memories of regularly playing it with a friend at his grandparents house.

I had a Master System II. Bought it with some birthday money a few years after we got the NES. First game I bought for it was ESwat. I remember playing R-Type and Phantasy Star on it too.
