Finally picked up a PAL Commodore 64. Was sold as untested/parts, but works just fine.
Bought it because my NTSC C64 doesn't run a ton of stuff the PAL version will run. Most of the impressive software is PAL-only.
Been having a good ol' time with it. Most of the games on the NTSC feel "sped-up," but I find on the PAL they feel just right. Also find many "NTSC-fixed" versions are more like "NTSC-downgraded," meaning they had to take shit out of the software and make it worse to run on NTSC.
Too bad 0 of 16 CRTs I have around here take PAL.. just a 19" LCD.
