Problem is that it's heavy now by today's standards... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iYw4z_-lK4 Fugget about putting it in your pocket. And again 6 AA batteries an hour... Needless to mention cables/plugs, no usb no hdmi, everything proprietary and old... And I don't think it's customizable btw, I mean you can find gba roms with an integrated tf card slot for instance, but I've seen nothing regarding hu cards. Hardware autofire switches are awesome though, batmobile style
As I told you, recently I've bought a powkiddy v90, and I love this machine and it's not super powerful and no hdmi but idk why, maybe it's the form factor but I love playing megadrive's gods on it for instance https://poal.co/s/Retrovideogaming/544257 I don't regret to have bought it, at all. To give you an idea I bought an rg350m before that, full alluminium, black, runs pretty much everything you can think of, bigger screen, twice the price https://youtu.be/p8EZvT1zHCU?t=84
Technically it's superior to the v90, at every level, BUT, I prefer the v90, because it's lighter, the form factor is better/smarter, volume can be adjusted on a wheel, audio and AC plugs are better placed, and it's not like you need a special box to carry it around because "omg I don't want to scratch it... My precious..."
You have this one also, pretty interesting look at the specs, very special machine, unique hardware... https://poal.co/s/Retrovideogaming/544265
I really ponder buying it
And again 6 AA batteries an hour...
The LCD mod solves that issue (the original lcd's backlight is a power hungry bish) and you can also use high capacity rechargeable batteries
But then the capacitors... https://youtu.be/1iYw4z_-lK4?t=363 Listen to this entire vid, the guy knows what he's talking about
And the GT screen was indeed a marvel btw, it's small but incredibly clear
Yeah, it had an impressive pitch for its time and that's why it was so expensive.
Though I was eyeing the SuperGrafx (which the GT was based on), I ended up trading a gameboy with several games for a CoreGrafx (without CD-ROM) with two pads and several HuCard games.
Ninja Spirit and LOHT were some of the best arcade ports (and my favorites). We used to speedrun them with friends, back in the days.
