I'm trying to find the resource that typically helped me out, but between the DOSbox wiki and PC Gaming Wiki, it's usually pretty easy to confirm the cycle settings, etc., that need tweaked for each game to run optimally through DOSbox. For sound, you can always with some custom options (comparison around 5:00), up to the Roland MT-32 emulators.
