Does retrobright work on shiny ABS plastic or will it peel the finish?

I have this retro robotic dog I'm looking to clean up. The only products I've used to clean up ABS is retrobright and that's on a matte snes/nes/crt monitor surface. This ABS has a glossy finish.

what are you doing touching plastic??

The only thing these hands touch is pure steel.
