I thought fads were mostly for school kids. I guess not.

I just don't get it. -WHY- did the stanley tumbler thing start. Stanley has been around for decades and at least used to be a working man's brand. I had a beat to shit stanley thermos that my father gave me when I was a kid because he got a new one. That thing would keep coffee/tea/soup hot for a whole day to the point it could burn you if you put it in hot enough.

Now psycopath influencers and Starbucks soccer moms are obsessed with the modern interior version of the same thing. I don't get it.

I have no idea where it started. I'm sure they are great cups, but I'm also sure there are plenty of alternatives that are just as good.

My mom used to put hotdogs in them too! They'd hold hot AF and still taste great.

Never thought about that. I guess it would work well.

Also, the "new ones" have been testing for high levels of LEAD... and apparently are made in china. So there is that.

I heard about that, but I didn't really look into it. I figured the lead was used in a way that didn't cause a risk of exposure. Kind of like how asbestos is safe as long as you don't disturb it.

Ah, yes, Trader Joe's. The home of overpriced, undersized food portions, cheap wine by the case, and "empowered women" throughout who reek of cat urine.
