As my old girl going on 14 is having challenges. Cancer lump on her paw. But she’s still getting around. She beat heart worms last year. It’s a 1 in 700,000 that the heart worm meds don’t protect. Guess she’s special.
She’s been a good girl, but her runway is short.
I have an older one, too. We know his time is getting short so we're really focused on making his life as good for him as we can.
Find someone that will come to you to put them down. Give them chocolate, all they can eat when it starts.
This teared me up.
We already have the people in speed dial. They will come administer, then take them for cremation.
Our vet offers that service and we've used it twice now. Much better than taking them to a sterile office that stresses them out. It makes a terrible situation very slightly less terrible for us, and more comfortable for them.
