You know I would like to say 2 things on this. One ethuggin has been banned. Two banning is something I really dislike doing because no matter how you slice it, it is censorship. Perhaps censorship for a good reason, that reason being preserving everyone else's free speech but it still pains me to do it. So I may be slow to act sometimes when that is the only option I have. Should I have acted faster with ethuggin, maybe. The screenshot post is coming. Sorry if anyone was putt off by the spam.

Just my opinion but while free speech is great and all, what is the point of allowing someone like ethuggin et al to spam the site for several days? they contributed zero to the site only posting troll stuff and insults.

You want the site to grow as you've stated several times. Anyone coming here for the first time will be 50/50 if this is where they want to hang. If they see the front page is half or mostly troll shit they will likely assume MIA admins like on Voat or that this site is a true free for all like notabug.

Not saying you are right or wrong but gotta think critically about where you want to go and how you want to get there. I say that since we can be 100% sure that ethuggin will create another account and start again all while calling you a hypocrite that you banned them / deleted their posts.

I've enjoyed hanging with you guys, but this shit is getting old fast.

Ethuggin has been banned. I admit I dragged my feet on this one. I didn't want another ban, I wanted it to work out some other way. It didn't it wasn't going too, but I had hoped it would. Call me idealistic, many people have. I honestly thought maybe just maybe they would get bored or see reason.

But spam is disruption of others ability to freely engage in their own free speech, if they actually had anything to say, they should just say it, not spam bullshit. So ban away and dont feel bad
