Thanks, fren. Looks quite similar to my first one that I bricked when trying to update the firmware. Got one or two identical ones afterwards and a more prettier one some time later.
They were all dirt cheap, compared to a 'real' instrument but equally useful.
German quality product, made cheap and ubiquitous by chinks. I love the ingenuity in the principle of operation.
It's one of those things that would never have existed if the creator had listened to the science experts.

Edit: Built-in battery? Looks like I was off with my first judgement.
I bought it for the ESR meter, I have other instruments for other components. Though I did some test with mosfets and diodes, it's not bad.
