I'm recording our water usage every morning since about 9 years now. (Had a leak back then and we only noticed after the water bill camein)

In the last few weeks I've noticed a slight trend upwards and found a leaky fill valve in one of our toilets. It was hardly noticeable but a tiny and steady quickly adds up to mucho liters.

Turned out the little red rubber cap in the old valve had hardened and cracked. Thankfully I had a new fill valve in storage just in case. Exchanged the flush valve seal while I was in there, the in-wall water reservoir is kind of hard to get to and even if you do you wish for an extra joint in fingers and arm to fish the parts out.

All good now. Wife happy.

I have to rebuild the assembly every so often at place. Fortunately, it's an all-in-one so, while time consuming, everything (bolts, valve, flapper, etc.) are all new when I'm done.
