Had fixed it once in 2011, where the SCR for the water heater had a weird issue and needed to be replaced.

This cheap thing made tons of coffee during all those years, with minimal maintenance like cleaning and descaling once in a while. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Good thing I had collected four identical machines over the years. Can't fix anything without a steady supply of coffee.

It sounded weird during the last few days and descaling didn't change that.

Not much of a repair yet but I'll probably find time to take care of it during the next few weeks.

My coffee maker is a pot. The only part it has is a handle. I expect it to survive me and my children.

I boil the coffee in the pot with water and the grounds simply sink to the bottom. Love it!

To each their own. There's something to be said for simplicity. Bet the coffee made your way is near optimal. Water temperature is important.

Seriously, I appreciate your coffee pot, that's a good life span. I can't seem to keep modern appliances running more than 5-10 years at best.
