Ahh I gotcha. When I hear "press" I think overhead as in "clean and press". Still impressive.

It sounds like you learned the hard way, but for anyone else reading this: put an equal amount of effort into development of your standing overhead press as you put into your bench press. Neglecting your overhead while putting a lot of time into bench will cause you to over develop you chest relative to your traps and delts and will seriously fuck up you entire thoracic spine.

I've seen dudes with 300lbs benches who never even attempt to push a bar overhead and they have shit posture, forward rounded shoulders, and are eventually going to likely need shoulder surgery.

You are so right, even now I strain to pull my shoulder blades together just sitting. Those muscles never developed young so I'm fighting the rounded tight pecs and the now less back fat to bring them into where they belong. Also for the ones that are learning this also makes it so you don't get a hump later in life. I now have my $300 computer chair low as possible since I was sitting head tilted down causing pain and disk pain squshing the front parts by curving my own spine. BTW MOST doctors are stupid when it comes to this. They are like IT call support that only use the book step by step and no formal computer training, it's either in the book or the dr takes a truly wild and often wrong guess and what the problem is.

I was told the pain I felt was not that bad and I was taking an appointment from someone with a real problem so quit being a pussy, it was arthritis that he totally missed and thought I was making it up.

Fucking idiot was almost 70 and a woman that was a nurse practitioner figured it out in 3 minutes listening to my description on where the pain was and how it got worse and "WAIT FOR IT" she used her brain with all the information not tossing the ignorant patients words out since they've never been to college so what could he know.

I love that woman since she was the only one that used all the information at her disposal.
