Billboards sharing the same three words are popping up all over the country.

Those words may anger secular atheists, leftists and Democrats in equal measure. What’s more, they are sure to anger the Devil himself.

Why? Because these billboards proclaim the ultimate, universal authority of Jesus Christ.

Simply but profoundly, they read,

Christ Is Lord

The ads were bought and paid for by Christian publisher Canon Press as a promotional preorder campaign for prominent Moscow, Idaho, pastor Douglas Wilson’s new book “Mere Christendom.” . . .

I know that, but does "Christ" carry the same weight, is my point. Splitting hairs, but I came out of a cult that had no problem saying Christ, or Jesus Christ, but balked at just "Jesus.". It's a massive mind and spirit change to go from believing, to A Believer. I think the power name is Jesus. Anyway, I haven't read the book, and would love to see the billboards in my area, even as a sign that someone has put a stake in the ground!

I take each name with equal and heavy weighting. There may be more to it, I am not the most well versed in that nuance, and some branches of Christian religion may differentiate this more than others. Not an argument I would want to pursue with my brethren, as long as we believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and he was risen from the dead, we're good.

Good point! I was just having a similar discussion with a friend about the internal arguments between brothers. Wasn't trying to bait an argument, just making a point, and appreciate that article, the effort the author is making, and the discussion.
