I am not saying that if there were a god that he would control every aspect of every humans life. What I am saying is that if there were a "caring and loving" god that would "never" desert you then he could have easily intervened. Maybe just nudge a family member to go over for coffee, whatever, anything, something. It is proof that god does not exist. Not controlling, but maybe taking a moment to intervene when a innocent child is suffering and starving to death. A moment, what else is he doing? Seriously, what is your god doing when babies are getting raped and beaten and starving to death? What is so important that he can't help a suffering child? Hopefully that didn't come off to argumentative, I don't mean it that way. In my youth I was very religious, I left the faith when I realized how silly it all is by witnessing the pain and suffering of the innocent in the world.
