I can't say which is a bigger issue without other issues to put the matter into scale and perspective. However, the reality is that vigilance, self-defense, and situational awareness are the responsibilities of every capable individual. The fact that there are "Christians" who believe they are entitled to be protected by others, whether other Christians or not, from those who wish to do them harm suggests that these individuals have received a fundamentally mall formed education in the faith to hold such ideas.
