Tammuz is one of the three gods of the Babylonian trinity. Specifically he was their sun god. His birthday was December 25th. When he died his mother went into 40 days of mourning. Both Christmas and Easter are adoptions of this false pagan belief. Easter, originally Ishtar for the name of the fertility goddess who ressurected Tammuz after 40 days, was an orgy.
Ezekiel 8 is an interesting chapter. It prophesied the worship of Tammuz and of the sun.
What day do most Christians meet for worship? The 1st day of the week.
What day does the 4th Commandment say to worship? The 7th day. What day did God spend 40 years beating into the Hebrew's heads was the day of worship? What day did the early church worship until about 325 AD? Saturday.
Paganism infected the church very early after its inception.
Ēostre is a West Germanic spring goddess. By way of the Germanic month bearing her name, she is the namesake of the festival of Easter in some languages.

“Easter” was the pagan goddess of spring related to Eos the godess of dawn in similar traditions. Her festival was in April. I have always understood that that is the basis of the placement of the celebration of the resurrection in April.
But perhaps youre right. Perhaps what was a largely jewish run religion was pretty well hijacked by goys after Constantine.
