Good to see you around again. Taking a break from social media is definitely a good practice to have. I have done it once, almost deleted my V account. But after a few days I got my mind back and realised I am in control of what I let myself get exposed to, and that I actually have something to offer to the world. Whether anyone wants to avail themselves of my magnificence is also up to them. ;) You know I'm really involved with the Friday Night Guitar Thread, probably the only sub I really get involved in, and the other night, right after it started, I lost power and internet. Plunged into darkness and solitude, it made me pause to consider many things, caused me to just sit and think in the darkness with no electronic distractions. I came to enjoy having that forced on me. But was also really glad the next morning when the power came back on.
So how's by you? Weather OK in UT? I'm in OK, so we never get too much winter. I used to hate the lack of snow when I was younger. Loved to get out and play in it. I was a paramedic/ambulance and loved getting out driving around in a large unit and battling the elements. Now, at this age, I appreciate not having to do the effort it requires.
Yeah, I'm still on my social media break, I'm just taking a break from the break for a couple of days here and will likely go back to lurking mode again soon - LOL. It's been fun not posting, but succumbed to the temptation the last couple of days.
Snowing here this morning. But nothing much, it's not even sticking yet and don't expect much more than a couple of inches. It's just that time of year when you get snow, but it's not even worthy of a shovel. I grew up in PA and lived there for my first twenty years, so snow is no biggie to me. Then the AF and my aerospace job had me in CA for the majority of my adult life, with a short stint in ND where I learned what cold is - LOL. I'm fifteen plus years in UT now, so again, not to be morbid, but I started in snow country and it looks like I'll end it here, too! To me, though I miss the warmer CA climate and I think I got out of there before the madness overwhelmed that place ... Christmas time of year just was never the same without a little snow.
Anyway ... I still lurk both Voat and Phuks, but when and if I post, it will likely be here. Voat just got too toxic for me to handle and Phuks banning Saverem killed that place for me. I've known him for a long time and can guarantee he didn't do what they accused him of. That's neither here nor there though and I won't belabor it.
