Having the thing that was used to kill Jesus be the symbol of christianity doesn't make any sense to me. If christ were killed with a gun, would all the churches have guns on top of them? Would Christian chicks wear little gold necklaces in the shape of guns?

You arent exactly wrong, but Christianity has much larger and serious problems. The trinity, sunday reverence, fake country israel adoration, teaching the law is gone, horrifyingly clueless about prophetic matters, pagan holydays made holidays and on and on.

Its pretty sad.

Don't forget the satanic ritual of eating the blood and body of christ during communion. That's about as satanic as you get.

Dont forget the rampant pedophilia, brought on in part by their vow of celibacy, which christ never taught

Ah yes, stopping those bloodlines that are most devout right in their tracks, while ruining the lives of children a long the way. How could I forget? /s

I think a lot of this comes from the catholic church distorting christ's original teachings. If you think about it, every plain and simple truth that Christ taught while on the earth has been twisted by the Catholic church. Like baptism. Original sin is retarded. Babies are perfect. They don't need to be baptized right away. The sacrament. Catholics teach (or taught) that the bread and wine literally turns into christ's flesh and blood. Christ says don't worship idols. Catholics create 100s of saints to worship instead of God. The list goes on and on.

That is why the bible calls the roman catholic church "the mother of harlots and abominations of the earth".

Thank you, Bill Hicks, circa 1990, for your insights.

I heard that analogy from another member of my church. He must have got it from Bill Hicks.

Funny thing is he was probably nailed up to an X of logs held together with rope in the middle. They would not go through the carpentry work to fashion such a beautiful cross to murder someone on.

All the stories of the time say when someone got crucified they were nailed onto an X of logs tied in the middle with rope and set a long side the road headed into town, so everyone could spit and throw shit at them while they were dying. They would tie each hand and leg to a corner of the X and then nail each appendage.

So it should be an X everyone is wearing, not a "cross" with a longer bottom, that's all fanciful misinformed crap.

I laugh when "scholars" try to say jesus couldn't have just been "nailed" to the cross like everyone wears around their necks. Because they are right, but are too stupid to study history in depth to know it wasn't even a fucking cross on top of a hill. But an X of crude logs set up on the side of the road heading into town.

They made Jesus carry his to the spot until he couldnt anymore. Then they made some Simon guy carry it.

Yes, his spot a long side the road, where they crucified everyone on logs tied together with rope. They didn't crucify jesus in a special way. He was a criminal, a low life, in the eyes of the court. They nailed his ass to an X of logs and set him up a long side the road. Sorry you were lied to your whole life bud, but you have to pull that band-aid off. Let the wound air out a bit.

Jesus was crucified because the yews thought he was a domestic terrorist. They thought Jesus was going to raze the temple like the 9/11 towers.
That temple, their adored idol, their image symbolized their power, the banking system. the money laundering base of operations.. Jesus was killed over that irrational fear, go back and read the scriptures.

Didnt say I didnt agree with you, bud.

We know what the cross looked like. It was shaped like a T. The upright was fixed in place, and the crossbar was hoisted into position on a rope after the criminal had been nailed to it; then the criminal's feet were nailed to the upright. Jesus only carried the crossbeam of the cross, not the whole thing.

Any account from that time of crucifixions I have found state it was done exactly like I described. And this is from alternate sources, with no skin in the game.
