I’m about halfway through so far. I agree with the premise that most Protestant Christian denominations miss the critical part about salvation: the sanctification portion. You are saved by the grace of God, through your faith in the promise; and then the gift of the Holy Spirit allows carnal men to sanctify, as their works become a reflection of their faith. You can’t put new wine into old wineskins, or else it will burst at the seams.
The official Catholic doctrine, if I heard the previous video commentary correctly, dismisses the law of Moses? That’s the covenant that establishes the promise of inheritance. God was ready to establish His Kingdom with Israel all being priests. They broke the covenant with the sin of erecting the golden calf; which requires the death penalty.
Moses pleaded with God, and by His mercy, he essentially paused the covenant. He created a separate Book of the Law (as distinguished from the Covenant), and placed the Levites in charge. This law stood until John the Baptist immersed Jesus in the River Jordan. Jesus paid the death penalty for Israel’s golden calf; and gathered the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
The new Covenant that Jesus established is a continuation of the original Covenant placed in the Ark. Jesus is the righteous king and high priest, and we are to be his priests in the promised land. You must keep the Commandments and have the faith of Jesus Christ.
Not sure what you're talking about as far as the Catholic Church dismissing the law of Moses.
It was stated by Eugene IV, at the Council of Florence, 1441; and referenced at 5:56 in the first video you linked.
Well yeah, it's a sin to observe the judaic law, the laws for the jews. This is why St. Paul admonished St. Peter who scandalized the gentiles.
