The Roman Catholic Church had banned Saturday rest/worship in the past, and torture killed all that rebelled. They have always said that Sunday worship is not biblical, it is a mark of their own authority. Through Francis’ most recent encyclicals: it’s pretty obvious they are pushing for globalism, and trying to regain their previously lost power (the wounded beast of Revelation) and using hoaxes like climate change and covid to bring back their old role as dictator, but on a global level.
