I have several.... I like my 7.4 vortec though. The efi works and i know how to tune it. You sound frustrated so I'm gonna make some assumptions...
If you are frustrated because you have an off idle hesitation, look at the pass side valve cover fitting to throttle body and driver side pcv, if they aren't sealed, too much air gets sucked it post maf, so when you try and accelerate it causes an off idle lean condition. If you had to change your maf at any point, this could also be a problem.
If you have a tuner , you can fix it in the computer by tweaking the maf frequency below 100 g by bumping it 20-30%. Frustrating to know you just need a hair more squirter, and no way to get itin the computer ( ypu have to play with air instead).
If you know what I'm talking about, this should help, if you don't, it's probably just gibberish so ignore.
Oh yeah, and fuck the epa and Cafe.
