Sometimes if I think the X thread is worth reading or I want to give credit to OP I'll link that directly, but that is a bit lazy. I can link the thread in the context section. Which I do at times. I guess it depends on what else I'm doing, and if I'm on mobile. I don't mess with extra steps posting from phone, it's a real hassle.
