When I heard of exploding radios, cell phones, solar arrays, and even thumb print scanners, the first thing I thought of was The Carrington Event, where even doorknobs started sparking. Anything with an antenna, and yes, solar modules are giant antennas, could hypothetically explode if they got hot enough fast enough from a powerful enough EMP or burst from a rogue sun spot.

We just came out of a G4 storm, and G5 is the highest on the scale. Crazy dreams the past couple of nights? That’s solar activity, believe it or not. Even more crazy when you sleep on a grounding sheet connected to an isolated ground (separate from your household electrical ground).

Anyway, I see everyone jumping to kike conclusions, I’m not saying my theory is correct, I’m just saying don’t rule it out. The more I learn about our sun’s capabilities, the more I believe an apocalyptic event could actually take place, where everything with ungrounded metal spikes in heat instantaneously, think induction cooktop tech but for half our Earth facing our Sun.

Which sub should I post something like this in? Thanks for reading.

It would take a larger storm than an X45 to cause havoc here on earth.

It would take out our electrical grid, low-earth satellites, ISPs, and cell networks. Anything with a long wire attached is in trouble, as is anything in orbit. Grounded wires just introduce another way for current to enter the cables after a big CME.
