Even shitty cars get old. You used to be able to buy an old ford bronco for peanuts, then the govt basically fucked mini truck production in this country and the demand went higher for basic and simple 4wd platforms in a lightweight package etc. Now old ford broncos sell on bringatrailer.com for 40k+ w/ a swapped later model v8 engine and 4wd. Good luck offroading in an electric, the batteries are still so heavy that they literally eat their own shoes (tires). Even a crappy tesla eats tires faster than it's gasoline counterpart. Part of it is b/c they're always under load. The tires try to capture and recycle energy when slowing down via the braking for less recharging. the tires are always under some kind of load, never free coasting like a car in neutral or w/ ur foot off the gas going down the road. Anyways it's a pig like an 800hp bentley that weighs thousands of punds and has a V12... it eats it's own shoes.
