They look like they are coming along nicely. I've lost both thumb nails and a pointer nail a few times from slamming them in cooler and walk-in freezer doors. They turned colors and peeled off from the cuticle up, but ended up fine.
I know it's easier said than done but, you gotta be more careful!
BTW, haven't heard 'Palooka' in a dog's age! 😄
