Everything listed in that ANT catalog is now obsolete. It is from 2008 and many of those technologies have been retired. The whole catalog is essentially replaced by smart phones and other smart devices now. No need to infiltrate a system remotely or gain physical access to a location in order to plant your spy tools when people voluntarily buy and carry your smart devices everywhere with them now. Their job got so much easier after Steve Jobs made their wet dream a reality when he released their iPhone into the world.

The catalog is definitely out dated, but I'd say many of the snooping devices are still deployed especially in foreign shitholes.

I would also bet that most applicable devices and software in this list have been updated or superceded to account for technological advancements.

Just to say that smartphones and Alexa have replaced these techniques is a gross oversimplification. Those have made it easy to mass surveil the populace, but those that understand in the slightest will not fall prey to such broad, unfocused attention.

Thus the need for updated techniques at home focused on persons of interest as well as abroad with persons, corporations, agencies and governments.

Does this mean that not paying for a VPN makes me wise rather than miserly?
