I was cleaning our pool many decades ago when the brush extension lock failed and I went head over heals into the pool's deep end.
It was February, 34 degrees outside with a 20mph wind. The pool was 36 degrees. At least the house was 100 feet away from shelter with a locked door.
Boy was that fun and may explain my modern day aversion to the cold.
