"The District of Columbia (DC) Court of Appeals has rejected Meta’s appeal to quash a sweeping subpoena that demanded it hand over “documents sufficient to identify all Facebook groups, pages, and accounts that have violated Facebook’s COVID-19 misinformation policy with respect to content concerning vaccines” to the DC government." No bad think, sit down and shut up! Big Brother is watching!

Why does DC want it? Because they are 'protecting' consumers. From the court opinion: "The District is investigating potential violations of the Consumer Protection Procedures Act, or CPPA, D.C.Code §§ 28-3901 to -3913, alleging that Meta has misrepresented to the District’s consumers the degree to which it polices misinformation posted to its platform about the COVID-19 vaccine."

Sneaky, they can’t go after citizens for this because of 1st amendment protections, so they’re bypassing that by going after private companies with the “District is investigating potential violations of the Consumer Protection Procedures Act, or CPPA” to get them to silence you instead or face government lawsuits and sanctions etc.

I got ratio’d for telling someone to follow the Facebook rules and not use “hate speech” lol. I love being a liberal on Facebook.

But even with an appeal I’m still ratio’d for quoting their own rules.
