Well I just started a new single-player world, and despite starting in a snow biome, I'm really starting off well. Got all the crops going, got pigs, sheep, and cows, and I just set up a villager breeder. So now all I need is an iron farm and a trading hall, and possibly a mob farm, and I'll be ready to take on the nether.

I changed a typewriter tape back in the 90's, and it was a total farce. It wasn't even half as good as the original one. I can't imagine the parts landscape is any better now, unless you're buying artisan tape from some hipster.
