I’ve always worn a redwing slip on boot and I wear ‘em until the sole is worn through and the seams were coming undone. Usually took 7 to 10 years. Last pair didn’t last two years before the sole was near done for. They have gone downhill as many others will say. Wear’n a Justin cowboy work boot now. So far so good, been almost six months now. Ain’t near as active now though.

Yessir. Redwing definitely changed the composition of their soles. The uppers on this last pair are just fine, but there isn’t any sole left on them. Some of the cowboy boot makers are now get’n more creative in the sole portion of the workboot. That’s what I’m try’n out now, we’ll see. Miss my Redwings though, ounce broke in they were like house slippers.
