Honestly, I would get new boots.
I assume you don't have a woman in your life because you would have been talked out of them ages ago, lol.
A bit of a different perspective here..... I don't judge people too harshly on their choice of clothing, but it says a lot about them. When I see men with ragged boots I think one of 2 things:
They might be homeless or severely down on their luck, and in that case, I feel bad for them to a certain extent.
Or, they work hard enough to wear the boots out, which is admirable, but they lack so much self awareness that they don't know when they're hurting their health and decency. I can't imagine those boots are comfortable. They look worn through and probably smelly. I would absolutely make you leave them outside my house if you came over, because I keep my house very tidy. Most other women aren't into "gross" things, either. Also, your feet are extremely important to how you live your life. Improper care can result in lifelong back and foot problems, as well as nasty bacterial stuff that can stay with you for years. Lifelong problems can be avoided, but if you're a weak or physically hampered man at our age (I'm mid 30's, I get the impression you are too) it looks pitiable, and is usually the result of a lot of bad life choices.
Seriously, if you can't be bothered to take care of your feet, what other body parts don't you take care of..... and do I want to find out?
Plus, women and eventual children need someone to care for them and set a good example. If you're not doing that for yourself, could I reasonably expect you would be able care for anyone else? And again, would I want to find out?
Looking at that picture, my rational mind appreciates experiments but wonders why you don't do more productive experements. My woman brain says "that's gross, it's time to stop".
I hope this didn't come across as some sort of lecture, that's not my intent. I'm just giving you my honest opinion.
Also, didn't you say your fiance doesn't have a job? I'm not gonna go on a judgemental rant about that one
Yeah, I'm quite comfortable and don't care what people think. Definitely getting new ones, but will continue the experiment. I find it amusing.
