Any lawnfags here? I have a fair amount of grass to manage and something I'm trying this year is to not cut it all at once. It seems to be going well, cutting stripes across it or just clearing edges, letting patches grow to about 1-3 inches and go to seed in between.
I think natural seed production is an important part of keeping it filled in, along with leaving the cuttings out to add to the soil, plus longer grass dries out slower. As long as it's not above 2 inches it's still easily walkable and a bit more resilient to trampling
