Engineering project coordinator. Went upstairs to my buddy who’s a project manager, asked him “dumb question of the day, what the fuck does this job actually entail?” It is as (relatively) simple as described. Hell, I’ve done those tasks rather successfully as dept supervisor and inventory manager for the past year. Worked on an internal résumé last few days and submitted tonight. My “number one” guy ain’t ready to do what I do, but I figure the position could expand so I can continue to attend to the high-level tasks I have. I’m a friendly guy and work real well getting other departments to get tasks done. Plus I’d get to help design stuff!

You sound like the guy I would roll my eyes at and go back to doing work. PMs and whatever your title means usually have that effect on me.

Managing people is not a profession I could ever do. Well, could is probably the wrong word. I would just hate it.

Haha I’m sure I get eyes rolling. But I work in utter insanity of touring sound. Working even two days ahead is a miracle. Still have to wait week(s) for zinc plating or powder coat
